MAEEC People

While the program had an enormously eclectic range of topics and subjects not usually seen in more traditional environmental education or environmental communication programs, what also became clear from the outset was that the program attracted an enormously eclectic range of students and teachers.

The program was not only meant for classroom teachers nor for people simply writing press releases. What we hoped to bring together was a range of students, each of whom would have part of the ‘content’ explored in the MAEEC program, but none of whom (we felt) would have everything: the ‘everything’ would come from the interactions between students and faculty and the environment in which we would be learning and from whom we would be learning.

Take a look at a map of the first decade of MAEEC alumni and faculty, where they live (or lived, more or less) and the alumni’s thesis abstracts here!
